For many families living in the Kansas City urban core, back to school can bring additional stress to a struggling family’s budget.  Project Restoring Hope recently provided students with uniforms, shoes and backpacks stuffed full of school supplies.

The rally not only provided back to school items but also gave the youth a chance to hear words of encouragement from Higher M-Pact Founder, Tyrone Flowers, as well as be recognized for their hard work in school and share what they’d like to be when they grow up.   From teachers, to police officers, to movie producers the students see only the sky as the limit.

“The goal of this program is to allow these youth to head back to school with the a positive start and increase their chances for educational success”, said Renee Flowers, Executive Director of Higher M-Pact.
